Description
MDG series Horizontal Multistage Ring Section Self-Balancing Centrifugal Boiler Feed Water Pump is designed to remove the mechanical balance drum, balance disc, balance socket and similar part, but achieve the balancing function by reverse circulation water pipe.
Such external bypass piping is designed for water flowing into the end of the pump from the suction side, and then reversely flow back to the discharge section in the middle, which makes the water flowing from both sides of the discharge section.
It will balance the axial thrust caused by the high pressure impeller from both sides and escape the mechanical wears out as well as overloaded axial force of the traditional multistage pump, and ensure the stability and endurability of the pumpset.

Suction and discharge casings

* radial suction casing and discharge casing can have nozzles positioned in 90O increments to allow customer flexibility in plant layout and equipment location.
Bearing housings
* housings on the radial suction pump are identical on both ends.
* made of high strength cast ductile iron and finned for additional cooling.
* cooling fan for additional thrust bearing cooling on the 5” and 6” sizes.
* bearing housings are configured to accept bearing temperature detectors and vibration instrumentation.
